Curious Kids Workshop - Sugar Skull Multi-Media Collage

Event Type: Children's Workshops
Age Group(s): School-Age
Date: 10/3/2018
Start Time: 4:00 PM
End Time: 5:00 PM
Description:
Sugar Skulls are a traditional Mexican decoration usually made with cane sugar and used to decorate altars during Dia de los Muertos, when families come together to celebrate and remember their ancestors.

At Bentonville Public Library, we will create collages by decorating paper skulls with glyphs representing information about each young artist and their family. A variety of materials will be available so each ‘curious kid’ can embellish their art in their own unique style.

Learn about the celebration of Dia de los Muertos and how sugar skulls decorated with glyphs can create a picture of you and your family.

Registration is not required for this free public program.
