Join us for a visit with best-selling author Delia Owens. Ms. Owens will be with us Saturday, July 20 at 11 a.m.
The event is free to attend and no registration is required, but seating is limited.
In expectation of a large audience, free tickets will be distributed on the day of the event on a first-come, first-serve basis. Patrons must be present to receive a ticket; one ticket per person. The ticket must be shown for seating, and re-entry, doors open at 10:30 a.m.
Overflow parking for the event is available in public lots at Community Development and Downtown Activity Center.
In conjunction with this special presentation, the Bentonville Library Foundation invites attendees to a reception inspired by the pages of Where the Crawdads Sing.
A book sale by Barnes & Noble in the library’s main foyer will occur throughout the morning and after the presentation. A book signing will take place after the presentation in the library’s fireplace room.
Delia Owens is the #1 New York Times-bestselling author of Where the Crawdads Sing and the coauthor of three internationally bestselling nonfiction books about her life as a wildlife scientist in Africa, including Cry of the Kalahari and Secrets of the Savanna. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from the University of Georgia and a Ph.D. in Animal Behavior from the University of California in Davis. Delia has won the John Burroughs Medal for Nature Writing and has been published in Nature, the African Journal of Ecology, and International Wildlife, among many others. Where the Crawdads Sing is her first novel.
